This doesn\u2019t mean it\u2019s everyone\u2019s favorite holiday song or the number one Christmas song, but it\u2019s just so fun to sing. (It must be all of those \u201cring-a-ling-a-ling\u201d lyrics.)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This song is so catchy and uplifting, and that\u2019s what makes it one of the most popular Christmas songs that belongs on your Christmas playlist.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mariah Carey is very well-known for her amazing Christmas album. His voice also just suits this song so well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"9-%E2%80%9Cthe-first-noel%E2%80%9D-with-carrie-underwood\">9. \u201cThe First Noel\u201d with Carrie Underwood<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Another song many people forget to add to their playlist, \u201cThe First Noel\u201d is an incredibly calming, beautiful and nostalgic Christmas song. Here are some lyrics to jog your memory:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201cThe First Noel the Angels did say<br>Was to certain poor shepherds in fields as they lay<br>In fields where they lay keeping their sheep<br>On a cold winter&#8217;s night that was so deep<br>Noel Noel Noel Noel<br>Born is the King of Israel!\u201d<\/p>\n<cite><em>One of the oldest Christmas songs, \u201cThe First Noel\u201d is believed to have been written around the 1400-1500s, and the lyrics to The First No\u00ebl are an adaptation of the original song. The original writer of this amazing song may never be known for sure. William Sandys edited the current form of this historic song, with extra lyrics written by Davies Gilbert.<\/em><\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>I had to listen to quite a few versions of this song before I stumbled upon Carrie Underwood\u2019s shockingly incredible cover of \u201cThe First Noel\u201d.
